These amazing STEAM sessions (courtesy of the DuPage Children’s Museum) are designed to encourage your child’s curiosity in the world around them.

June 11: Crazy Contraptions Rube Goldberg was a well-known cartoonist and inventor. Rube's cartoons featured complicated inventions that accomplished a simple task using chain reactions. In this session, participants will explore Rube Goldberg machines, chain reactions, and the engineer design cycle to create their own Rube-inspired machine.

June 25: Pinball Pioneers Pinball is a very well-known arcade game that rose to popularity in the 1930s and became so popular that the mayor of New York City actually banned it for a time. In this session, participants will make observations of pinball games and then team up to make their own cardboard pinball game.
