Children's Activity CenterThese amazing STEAM sessions (courtesy of the DuPage Children’s Museum) are designed to encourage your child’s curiosity in the world around them.
July 9: Pixelize It! Images that you see on a screen are actually made up of small picture elements called pixels. In this session, participants will be introduced to how images appear on a device screen. Using Perler beads, they will then explore the concept of binary code to create an image.
July 23: Deconstruction Junction Our world has so many devices that make day-to-day life convenient. Each of these devices has its own intricate way of working. In this session, participants will take apart a household device as a team, identify the different parts of the item, and attempt to put it back together.
