Join local FTS Forest Therapy Guide Sarah Alvestad for an intentionally slow, guided walk to connect with nature as part of a mindfulness practice that may improve your mental and physical well being.
Forest Bathing (Shinrin Yoku), synonymous with Forest Therapy, is a mindfulness practice. Through an intentionally slow walk with the forest, you will be guided to tap into your senses to stay in the present moment. This offers the potential for many holistic benefits such as reduced blood pressure, improved mood, increased focus and creativity, and improved sleep. The walk ends with a short tea ceremony.
The walk will not be more than 1 mile (possibly on uneven terrain) and is for adults of all ability levels. Please dress appropriately for the forest walk given the weather and kindly leave pets at home.
